BLINC Workshop: "Selling ourselves": free and open to all: Dec. 5 at UNC-Charlotte

Everyone is welcome to join us for the free BLINC winter workshop at the UNC Charlotte library on Dec. 5, 2018.
The featured topic is "Selling ourselves as librarians and information professionals".  Public, academic, and special librarians will share insights and stories about their efforts to promote themselves to the public, local organizations, supervisors, co-workers, students, faculty. and administrators.

10-10:30 Introductions, what going on with your position or at your library 

10:30-11:45 Selling ourselves as librarians and information professionals; outreach for introverts

11:45-1:15 Lunch on campus

1:15-2: New techniques for business info teaching & training [Richmond workshop highlights]

2-2:30: Sharing of new business resources and NC LIVE updates plus short report on the ReferenceUSA User Conference in Omaha

2:30-3: Brainstorming for BLINC/NJLibsGrowBiz joint online workshop in January, and for BLINC programming in 2019

Lynx Blue rail -- McCullough Station, west of campus, convenient to I-85. One-way light rail fare: $2.20. Service is available every 7.5 minutes during weekday rush hour and every 15 minutes during non-peak hours.
