Mindfulness and Music

Join Jennifer Smith for an introduction to mindfulness meditation using music as a tool to help you calm your mind and reduce stress mindfully.  At the close of the session, participants will be able to connect and reflect about their experience.  No experience needed.

Join Chris Robinson, Outreach and Engagement Librarian at UNCW Library, for a guided journey into the art of mindful tea. Discover how a simple cup can open the door to calm, clarity, and self-awareness. In this session, you will be led through each step of the tea-making process with prompts designed to help you fully engage with the present moment. Craft your tea, savor its aroma and flavor, and reconnect with your senses in a relaxing, restorative experience. All supplies are provided.

Yoga and Meditation

Join Lisa Coats and Jenneffer Sixkiller for a 30-minute yoga session, followed by a 15-minute guided meditation. Participants can use a chair or a mat; guidance for both is provided. Clothing can be comfortable conference attire; no need for “yoga clothes”. Care for your body, mind, and spirit.

Take a break and unleash your creativity with a relaxing, mindful painting session! Whether you're decorating rocks, shells, or canvases, this is your chance to unwind, de-stress, and let your artistic side shine. No experience? No problem! We’ll provide all the materials you need. Bring yourself and your imagination. Come join Chris Robinson and chill, paint, and vibe with fellow participants in a calm, judgment-free space. It’s the perfect way to recharge and add some color to your day. You deserve this!
