Join WILR, LAMS, REMCo, and the DEI Committee for a discussion exploring the idea of “Bringing Your Whole Self to Work”, with panelists:

• Tammy Baggett, Director of Wake County Public Libraries

• Rodrigo Castro, Director of Public Services for Z Smith Reynolds Library at Wake Forest University, Co-Chair of the DEI Committee, and Vice Chair/Chair Elect of LAMS

• Carlos Grooms, Research and Instruction Librarian for F. D. Bluford Library at North Carolina A&T State University, Chair of REMCo

• Jenny Dale, Head of Research, Outreach, and Instruction for the University Libraries at UNC Greensboro

When workplaces attempt to move this idea from the conceptual to the concrete, there is a great deal to address regarding identity, equity, culture, workplace environments and interpersonal relationships, policy and procedure, employee safety, work/life balance, the role of leadership, and the differences between philosophy and practice. In this interactive session, panelists and participants will share their experiences and learn more about navigating this complex topic.
