Archival Discoveries: How to Effectively Guide Genealogy Patrons in Archives Sponsored by the NCLA Genealogy Section and the NCLA Special Collections Section Explore the intersection of genealogy and archival research in this presentation. While genealogists are frequent visitors to archives, navigating the intricacies of archival systems and finding aids can be daunting. Similarly, archivists may find themselves challenged by genealogy-focused reference requests. Join us as we bridge this gap, offering valuable tips on how archivists can give support to genealogy researchers. Speakers: Jennifer Daugherty Head, North Carolina Collection Joyner Library, East Carolina University Karen Feeney Head, North Carolina Collection Forsyth County Public Library, Winston-Salem This program will take place virtually on Thursday, May 7, 2024 at 12pm, hosted by the NCLA Special Collections Section. Please contact Stacey Krim (srkrim@uncg.edu) with any questions or concerns. Register in advance for this meeting: https://go.uncg.edu/sci8sz After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
