We're All Virtual Programmers Now: Getting Started (and Getting Better at) Making Videos

  • September 21, 2020
  • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
  • https://statelibrary.ncdcr.libcal.com/calendar/trainstation/making-video
There's no escaping it: if you work in a library, you're likely being asked to make videos for all your customers who (by choice or by law) are not coming into your building. The good news is that video making is easier and more accessible than ever before. Presenter Rase McCray will provide an overview of how to make videos, from planning your shots to posting your work on social media. As you're introduced to the basics of recording and editing, you'll learn about the fundamentals of movie visuals, the free software and (optional) low-cost equipment that even professionals use, and the many easy ways to streamline your creation process and improve your virtual programs. This webinar is aimed at beginning videographers, and assumes no experience. This webinar is free and open to all, but does require registration. Please register at https://statelibrary.ncdcr.libcal.com/calendar/trainstation/making-video if you would like to attend. You'll receive a link on the morning of the webinar, and a recording will be available afterward. Presented in partnership with the State Library of North Carolina.
