North Carolina Bibliographic Instruction Group

The North Carolina Bibliographic Instruction Group (NC BIG) provides continuing education for bibliographic instruction librarians in North Carolina. We offer an online conference each off-year from the NCLA Conference. The BIG also serves as a forum for sharing and exchanging information about bibliographic instruction at the state level. To join the group, please email either of the co-chairs.

The North Carolina Bibliographic Instruction Group was formed as an interest group of the College and University Section at the NCLA Biennial meeting in Charlotte in October 1989. The Section by-laws were changed to include a section on interest groups (Article VII: Interest Groups). These bylaws were approved by the NCLA Executive Board in 1991.
