Upcoming Webinar from Technology & Trends: More Fun with Summon! Going Beyond the Trainings

Presenters: Kate Hill, University of North Carolina at Greensboro Electronic Resources Librarian and Jake Vaccaro, Meredith College's Reference Librarian

Description: Discovery systems for libraries have been a major tool for years, but often were inaccessible due to price.  Now, all North Carolina libraries have access to Summon, ProQuest's discovery service.  We at the Technology & Trends Roundtable want to take you beyond the ProQuest's trainings and help you make Summon your own.

This Webinar will take place in two parts:

  • Kate Hill,  University of North Carolina at Greensboro Electronic Resources Librarian, will discuss creating local collections in Summon and making existing collections more accurately reflect your title holdings.
  • Jake Vaccaro, Meredith College's Reference Librarian, will discuss their efforts to customize the front end interface to improve their patron's searching experience and match institutional needs.

Where: Blackboard Collaborate
This webinar is free and open to all, but does require registration. Please register at https://goo.gl/forms/VkFQbJPphXe0rAsF2 by 5pm on Sunday, March 18th if you would like to attend.
We will send out participation instructions and links the morning of the webinar. A recording will be available afterward.
