Welcome to the North Carolina Library Association (NCLA)!  Our purpose is to promote libraries, library and information services, librarianship, intellectual freedom and literacy.

Here are some things we are doing:

Do you feel like you're missing messages from the NCLA listserv?  If so, be sure to check your spam folders! If messages from the listserv are ending up in your spam folder, be sure to mark it as NOT spam so you can get messages in the future. If your library or institution seems to be systematically blocking the messages, forward a message to your IT team and ask them to put the listserv on their safe list!

 

BLINC May workshop

On Wednesday, May 11, 2016, please join BLINC and the City of Kings Mountain staff and business owners for highlights and details about the Downtown Kings Mountain Business Success Project. This project has assisted local businesses with skills, abilities and knowledge of services and people who can help their business be successful in the 21st century marketplace.

Transylvania County Library hosts Congressman Mark Meadows

The NCLA Legislative and Advocacy Committee arranged for Congressman Mark Meadows to visit the Transylvania Public Library on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. Congressman Meadows was joined by two county commissioners, and the Transylvania County Sheriff. The guests were hosted by library trustees and staff, led by Library Director Anna Yount.
