Sarah Lyon, Wake County Public LibrariesSarah works as a Staff Development Manager for Wake County Public Libraries. She received her BA in English and Elementary Education from James Madison University in 1999 and an MLS from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2004. Sarah serves as Chair of the New Members Round Table and as Treasurer for Camp Moo Gung Hwa, a nonprofit Korean Culture Camp for Korean adoptees.

whitfield [dot] amy [at] gmail [dot] com (Amy Whitfield), Wake County Public Libraries (Chair Elect)

Employed with Wake County Public Libraries since 2005, Amy Whitfield works as an Adult Services Manager at Cameron Village Regional Library in Raleigh and coordinates Arts and Literature adult programming for  Wake County Public Libraries. Amy is a member of the 2014 NCLA Leadership Institute cohort and looks forward to giving back to a great organization and dynamic profession through the New Members Roundtable.

Lisa Coats, UNC-WilmingtonLisa Coats is the First Year Engagement Librarian for Randall Library at UNC-Wilmington. She attained her MA in English at Virginia Commonwealth University in 1998 her MLIS degree in 2004 at Rutgers University. Lisa worked in a public library and then at a university on the Jersey Shore until she accepted the position at UNCW in 2011. She is a Part-Time Lecturer at Rutgers’ School of Communication & Information teaching a graduate-level reference course online as needed, and she occasionally teaches the First Year Seminar at UNCW. Lisa is a participating member of ALA and ACRL, and was very active in NJLA when she lived in NJ. She looks forward to becoming more active in NCLA and is pleased to have the opportunity to serve as the Secretary/Treasurer for the NMRT.

Amber is the Regional Director of the AMY Library System (Avery-Mitchell-Yancey Counties) and serves as the Programming Director of the NMRT.

thobgood [at] townofbenson [dot] com (Terry Hobgood), Mary Duncan Public Library (ALA-NMRT Affiliates Council Representative)

Portrait of Terry Hobgood, ALA-NMRT Affiliates Council RepresentativeTerry Hobgood is the Cultural Arts Director for the Town of Benson. In this position he serves as the director of the Mary Duncan Public Library (an affiliate branch of the Johnston County Library System) and the Benson Museum of Local History. He has previously worked with Wake County Public Library, Guilford College Library, Greensboro Public Library, and UNC Wilmington Library.

Terry has an M.L.I.S. from UNC Greensboro, an M.A. in English/Film Studies from NC State University, and a B.A. in Film Studies from UNC Wilmington.

Terry is honored to serve on the NMRT Executive Board, and looks forward to representing NCLA and the NMRT on a local and national level.

spbollin [at] ncat [dot] edu (Stephen Bollinger), North Carolina A&T State University, Greensboro (Publicity Director)

Stephen Bollinger, NC A&T SUStephen Bollinger is the Head of Library Systems at F.D. Bluford Library. Previously, he was the Internet Specialist at the Capital Area District Library; a public library in Lansing, Michigan; for over six years. A 2000 graduate of The School of Information at The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, his first years out of library school were spent in several dot-com ventures and consulting. He is happily getting to know North Carolina and is the proud parent of a 4th grader.

mgfragol [at] ncsu [dot] edu (Marian Fragola), NC State University, Raleigh (ex-officio Director)

Marian Fragola Marian Fragola, NCSUis the director of program planning and outreach at NCSU Libraries. Before coming to NC State, she worked at Durham County Library as the Adult Programming and Humanities Coordinator. She is a graduate of SILS at UNC-CH. Marian lives in Chapel Hill with her husband and two dogs and is a frequent dog foster with Independent Animal Rescue.

Portrait of Lara Luck, NMRT Nominating Committee ChairLara Luck is the Library Supervisor of the Rural Hall Branch Library in the Forsyth County Public Library system.  She has been with FCPL for over 15 years, serving as a library assistant, youth services librarian, and department manager.  She has been a member of NCLA for 11 years and has served on the Youth Services Section board as Chair from 2007-2009.   Lara is looking forward to serving as the Nominating Committee chair for the NMRT in the coming biennium.
