Description: 

General Description
Provides general assistance in the Adult and Teen Services Department of the Orange County Library along with developing and supporting programming, providing customer assistance, assisting with collection maintenance and with special events.
Examples of Essential Functions

Primarily responsible for developing, coordinating and supporting programming for adults and teens, including set-up and delivery.
Provide customer service at the Reference and Reader's Advisory desk.
Provide collection development and collection maintenance assistance in areas of Adult and Teen Services.
Run and route monthly and weekly departmental reports including Missing Items, In-Repair, and Unavailable Holds.
Serve as liaison to Community Librarian and assist with library outreach events.
Work with Communications' Specialist to promote programming and events.
Assists in the development of readers' advisory tools including book lists and displays.
Serves on library committees as assigned.
Follows library safety and emergency procedures.
Reports maintenance and safety issues to supervisor.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Supervision
Assignments are accompanied by clear, detailed, and specific instructions. Positions generally do not supervise other positions.

Coordinate with library staff to select monthly survey question and updating publicity materials.

Performs related duties as assigned.
Distinguishing Factors
This classification is distinguished from the Librarian Assistant classification by the responsibility to develop and coordinate library programs and services.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate's degree in a related field.
