A graduate of Appalachian State University, Nina has been working in public library administration for 11 years.  In 2006, she started as the Assistant Director for Caldwell County Public Library where she worked for 3 years.  After that, she moved to Union County as the Assistant  Library Director and remained in that position for 4 years until she became the Library Director in 2013.  When she's not at the library, she enjoys spending time with her family and being mom to her two sons, Archer, who is 3, and Elliot, who is 1.

Jeff Caton has been the Executive Director of Community Services in Union County since September of 2015.  He is a graduate of Clemson University where he received a B.S. degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management.  Jeff began his career in 1985 as the Deputy Morale Welfare and Recreation Director at the Naval Weapons Station in Charleston, SC.  In 1996, the opportunity arose for him to return to his hometown and become the Director of Parks and Recreation for Spartanburg County, SC. Jeff most recently served as Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Columbia before coming to Union County.

He has served in various roles within the South Carolina Recreation and Parks Association (SCRPA), including a term as President in 2003.  Jeff has been named the SCRPA Professional of the Year and received the Robert L. Reid Lifetime Achievement award. He was also inducted into the SCRPA Hall of Fame in 2015.

Jim is a graduate from Wingate University with a Bachelor's Degree in Parks and Recreation Administration and has worked in the parks and recreation field for 17 years.  Jim began his professional Parks & Recreation career as the Director for the Town of Marshville in 2000.  In 2005 he was named the Park Superintendent for Union County Parks & Recreation at Cane Creek Park.  He was promoted to the Assistant Director for Parks & Recreation in 2010 and has since been promoted to his current position serving as the Director for Union County Parks & Recreation.  As of 2016, Jim is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional.  Away from work, Jim has been actively involved in youth athletic and has coached youth baseball in Union County for 30 years.
